Aratana has openings for a Therapeutic Specialist (Sales Representative) for our New Jersey territory. This position is responsible for achieving sales objectives by effectively communicating the value and the appropriate use of our portfolio of therapeutic products. The ideal candidate has animal health sales experience, with specialty experience a plus. A bachelor’s degree, is preferred and a veterinary technician degree with surgical experience is a plus. This full-time position reports to the Regional Sales Leader and is available immediately. The position is field based and the candidate must be located within the territory specified. A valid driver’s license and domestic travel is required.

Research Associate

Aratana seeks a Research Associate to join our growing team. The Research Associate will assist in all aspects of drug development. This will include a range of activities supporting the evaluation of drug safety and effectiveness, such as assistance with oversight of laboratory and clinical animal studies, organization and quality control functions of data, technical writing and interactions with contract research organizations. This position is located at our Leawood, KS headquarters reporting to the company’s Vice President, Drug Development. The position is a full-time position and is available immediately. Limited domestic travel may be required.

Veterinary Medical Liaison - Southwest Region

Aratana has an opening for a Southwest Region Field Veterinarian (Veterinary Medical Liaison) to join our team. The Veterinary Medical Liaison serves its assigned Sales Region as their technical support specialist, and educates and trains veterinarians and staff at general and specialty practices on Aratana’s product portfolio.  This position will also help with designing, developing, and conducting technical training for the sales and marketing organization.  DVM/VMD with prior companion animal veterinary practice experience is required.  This full-time position is field based and the candidate will operate from their home office.  Extensive domestic travel (approx. 70%) is required.  Candidate should reside in the Southwest Region of the United States with potential cities including Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Phoenix and Denver.

Director of CMC

Aratana has an opening for a Director, CMC. This position is responsible for worldwide CMC approval of development products. This position will lead CMC function within the product development project teams to ensure appropriate development to achieve worldwide product registrations. The Director of CMC establishes and maintains CMC, DMF, and GMP-QA electronic files. This full time position will report to the VP of CMC and is based at the Aratana Therapeutics headquarters located in Leawood, Kansas. Limited domestic travel is required.
