Financial Reporting Manager

Aratana has an opening for a Financial Reporting Manager.  This position is responsible for the preparation of various SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.) and primary financial statements and footnotes for those filings.  Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA, and approximately five to seven years of public and/or industry experience.

Medical Science Liaison – Northeast Region

Aratana has openings for a Medical Science Liaison for the Northeast Region. This position is responsible for educating both internal and external customers including veterinarians and associated staff, and distributor sales representatives on the value of Aratana pet therapeutics.  This will be accomplished by collaborating and working with the Regional Sales Leaders and Therapeutic Specialists.  Candidates must have a DVM or VMD with prior companion animal veterinary practice and industry experience. This full time position reports to the Medical Director.  The position is field based and the candidate can be located anywhere in the Northeast Region with potential cities including New York, Boston, Washington D.C. and Baltimore.  A valid driver’s license and extensive domestic travel is required.

Therapeutic Specialist (Sales Representative)

Aratana has openings for multiple Therapeutic Specialists (Sales Representatives) in various cities across the US. The territories include the following MSAs: New York, Chicago, Dallas / Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston, Seattle, Phoenix, Miami, Boston, Minneapolis, Denver, Detroit, San Diego, Baltimore, Charlotte NC, and Tampa. This position is responsible for achieving sales objectives by effectively communicating the value and the appropriate use of our portfolio of therapeutic products. Candidates must have animal health sales experience, with specialty experience a plus. A bachelor’s degree, is preferred and a veterinary technician degree with surgical experience is a plus. This full time position reports to the Regional Sales Leader and is available immediately. The position is field based and the candidate must be located within the territory specified. A valid driver’s license and domestic travel is required.

Senor Sales Analyst

Aratana has an opening for a Senior Data Scientist to support the Sales and Marketing Department reporting to the Director of Sales Operations. The Senior Data Scientist provides product, customer, campaign analysis, performance tracking results (ROI), also providing information/data, advanced analysis, recommendations and insights to help support/develop Marketing and Sales strategies/tactics. The position will consult/influence with all levels of management as well as external business partners. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required along with at least seven years of experience in a sales and marketing department, preferably in the animal health or pharmaceutical industry. This full-time position is based at our Leawood, KS corporate headquarters and is available immediately.

Executive Assistant

Aratana has an opening for an Executive Assistant supporting our Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel and Chief Development Officer.  This position is responsible for arranging executive travel, assisting in the preparation of presentations and reports, and overall administrative duties.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in an executive assistant role with a public company.  This full time position reports to the Executive Administrator and is located at our corporate headquarters in Leawood, KS.
