Manager of Veterinary Medical Services

Aratana has an opening for a Manager, Veterinary Medical Services to join our team. This position is responsible for overall management of pharmacovigilance activities and ensuring compliance with US FDA, USDA, and EMA reporting requirements. This position will also support the sales and marketing organization as needed by providing technical support, answering client inquiries, and attending and working at veterinary conferences. DVM with prior companion animal veterinary practice is required, with industry experience being preferred. This full-time position is based at our Leawood KS office and will report to our Veterinary Medical Director. Limited domestic travel is required.

Senior Counsel

Aratana has an opening for a Senior Counsel, reporting to the General Counsel. This position is responsible for negotiating contracts, overseeing and advising on records management initiatives, and providing general legal and business support. A JD from an accredited law school is required along with membership in good standing with the Kansas Bar. Approximately 7 years of combined corporate law experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house counsel position, and 5 years of experience in contract drafting, review and interpretation is also required. Veterinary Medical Liaison (Field Veterinarian) – West Coast
Region

Aratana has an opening for a West Coast Field Veterinarian (Veterinary Medical Liaison) to join our team. This position is responsible for educating both internal and external customers including veterinarians and associated staff, and distributor sales reps on the value of Aratana pet therapeutics. This position will also help with designing, developing, and conducting technical training for the sales and marketing organization. Key veterinary conference attendance as assigned including exhibit hall attendance is required. DVM/VMD with prior companion animal veterinary practice and industry experience is required. This full-time position is field based and the candidate will operate from their home office. Extensive domestic travel (approx. 70%) is required. Candidate should reside on the West Coast Region of the United States with potential cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Director of Technology

Aratana has an opening for a Director of Technology to join our growing team. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and designing all operational activities associated with technology solutions for the Company, as well as providing direction and support for IT solutions that enhance business operations. Global responsibilities include resource allocation, project management, system integration, innovation and analysis. Must work closely with all departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support secure solutions enabling employee productivity. Provides strategic direction on all IT related matters. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT, or deep relevant experience is required, along with 8 or more years of experience managing IT teams. Experience in managing ERP systems, specifically SAP is required. This full-time position is based at our Leawood, KS corporate headquarters and is available immediately.

Research Associate

Aratana seeks a Research Associate to join our growing team. The Research Associate will assist in all aspects of drug development. This will include a range of activities supporting the evaluation of drug safety and effectiveness, such as assistance with oversight of laboratory and clinical animal studies, organization and quality control functions of data, technical writing and interactions with contract research organizations. Staff Accountant

Aratana has an opening for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position is responsible for general ledger entries, assisting with payroll, bank reconciliations, and review of AP and AR for accuracy and completeness. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required along with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the preparation and maintenance of financial records. A CPA and working knowledge of SAP is preferred. This full-time position is based at our corporate headquarters in Leawood, KS and reports to the Assistant Controller.

Quality Assurance Manager

Aratana has an opening for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for QA document review related to GMP requirements, as well as GMP compliance auditing of API manufacturers, third party manufacturers, contract laboratories, and internal systems. A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or applicable scientific degree is required and five to ten years of experience with veterinary pharmaceuticals is required. Experience with PV Works is preferred. This full-time position is based at our corporate headquarters in Leawood, KS and reports to the VP of Quality Assurance.
