Financial Analyst

Aratana has an opening for a Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting functional units with budgeting, financial analysis and variance reporting and reviewing purchase requisitions to ensure requests are within budget and appropriate approvals obtained.  A bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is required. SAP, life sciences industry and public company experience is preferred. This full-time position is based at our corporate headquarters in Leawood, KS and reports to the Vice President of Finance.

Vice President of Regulatory Affairs

Aratana has an opening for a Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. This position oversees all of the company’s interaction with the US Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine (FDA CVM) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA). This position also oversees all non-manufacturing pre-approval and post-approval submissions as well as assists the project managers in compiling INAD submissions. A minimum of ten years in the animal health industry in product development, regulatory affairs and / or quality assurance in FDA regulated pharmaceuticals is required. DVM/VMD is preferred, though other degrees in life sciences with relevant industry experience with be considered. This full-time position is based in our Leawood, KS office. Limited domestic travel is required.

Veterinary Medical Liaison (Field Veterinarian) – West Coast
Region

Aratana has an opening for a West Coast Field Veterinarian (Veterinary Medical Liaison) to join our team. This position is responsible for educating both internal and external customers including veterinarians and associated staff, and distributor sales reps on the value of Aratana pet therapeutics. This position will also help with designing, developing, and conducting technical training for the sales and marketing organization. Key veterinary conference attendance as assigned including exhibit hall attendance is required. DVM/VMD with prior companion animal veterinary practice and industry experience is required. This full-time position is field based and the candidate will operate from their home office. Extensive domestic travel (approx. 70%) is required. Candidate should reside on the West Coast Region of the United States with potential cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Staff Accountant

Aratana has an opening for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position is responsible for general ledger entries, assisting with payroll, bank reconciliations, and review of AP and AR for accuracy and completeness. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required along with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the preparation and maintenance of financial records. A CPA and working knowledge of SAP is preferred. This full-time position is based at our corporate headquarters in Leawood, KS and reports to the Assistant Controller.
